2008 SO FAR...

After a hectic end to 2007, we've been crazy busy during the first part of 2008 as well! Our double a side single will be released in Perth on May 24 at the Rosemount Hotel, so stay tuned for updates on lineup/poster art etc. In the meantime we've been writing like crazy for the next EP, due to be recorded in June/July. So far so good, with about 18 songs on the go, and we're heading away to a house in the middle of nowhere down south to demo some more at the start of April. Show wise, there's a couple of things in the pipeline, not the least being a support slot for Gyroscope on their 'Breed Obsession' national tour. Its at Capitol on May 10, so pencil it in! In other news, we've got some shaboinkin new merch available, and more to come before the Gyro show - again check out the myspace for some details..

RECORDING COMPLETED!!!

After a week at Sumo Sound we have finished tracking the songs for our next release - a double a side which will hopefully see the light of day early next year. Stay tuned for some videos of the time we were there on this here site and our myspace page! More news on the release as it comes to hand. In other Reserves news - we're hoping to be able to get over to Melbourne for a few shows in early december, so more on that as it happens...

RECORDING UPDATE - 27 July 2007

We are pleased to announce that we have finally locked in some tentative dates with Laurie McCallum from Sumo Studios to record our next few songs. Things going well, we should be able to go in around late Aug, and finish off during Sept., so look out for an October/November release. Well well bloody well... Its been too long since we updated this here ole' site! So here's whats been happening in camp reserves lately. We've been writing more tunes for a follow up ep to 2006's 'waiting for no one', and we'll hopefully be heading into blackbird studios soon with WAMi award winning producer Dave Parkin to record a couple of them for release as a double a side single - you little beauty! We've been fucking around with some new sounds, and i gotta say im pretty happy with the results so far, as they come together they may or may not make the myspace page as demos - so keep an eye out there. On the live side of things, we just wrapped up the 'Pack Up The Bus Tour 07', which saw us and good mates The Colors and Love You Not play Funbury, Mandurah, Dunno and the good ole' hydey (which I might add im stoked is still kicking!). We had a great few shows and heaps of fun, thanks to outback dave and his medicinal herbs... There's a tour diary that Coxy wrote on perthsounds - check out perthsounds.com and click on 'tour diarys' - its a bit of a laugh. So ther you go, check out the new pics we've stuck up, and we'll see y'all round like a rissole...

G`day from Camp Reserves. Hope everyone`s had a good start to the year. We had a well earned break over Chrissy, but we`ve been straight back into the saddle writing new tracks for our second EP. We`ve got a couple already into pre-production, so I`ll try to put a demo or two up as soon as we`re done. At this stage we`re planning to put out a single mid-year, and we`ve got a live recording planned for one of our shows before then so hopefully we can put a couple of those tracks on the single too! Matt just bought himself a new laptop, which has made demoing and writing a hell of a lot easier. The new stuff is sounding pretty damned good if i do say so myself. So there you have it folks, you`re up to date with whats going on with us. Seeya at the next show!!!
